Some Wunsch history as related to Christian Wunsch by his father Henry
Wunsch - Born July 9, 1866 died Aug. 7, 1953 - father's mother's name
was Katherine Schmidt - fathers grandmothers was Clouder (jwd prob
Clauser) - Our mothers maiden name was Katherine Wunsch - Born 1865 -
Died Aug 16, 1929.
Our mothers, mother name was Hinder and her grandfathers name Longreen
(more often spelled Lungren). All these persons were born in Russia,
including me Christian Wunsch the baby of the family. Born Nov. 7 1906.
Our father and mother were married Feb. 6, 1886. Our family migrated from
Galka, Russia May 5, 1913 boarded ship Barcelona in Bremmen, Germany.
The Barcelona was a cattle boat and it took us 16 days to cross the ocean
we docked at Quebec, in Canada. From there by train to Winnipeg,
Canada. Arrived in Winnipeg July 4, 1913. Left Winnipeg in Feb. of
1915. Left Rocky Ford on Feb 2, 1918 to La Junta, Colorado. Arrived
here same day and still here. Christian Wunsch.
